Our family has been farming using natural and organic principles for over forty years.

Jacki and I started Molnar Gardens in 1981 when we purchased a small plot of land north of Bemidji, Minnesota. We later moved to our current 90-acre farm in 1984 where we've raised our six children (all now adults). We've learned so much about gardening, cultivation, natural fertilization, weed control that we want to share that experience with you! That is the purpose for this website and our recently-launched YouTube channel.

Jeff's Story

 As a boy, I loved playing with toy tractors at home in suburban Detroit, having a small backyard garden, and visiting my grandparents' farm. I learned to grow melons & tomatoes to sell with my grandmother at the roadside market. In my teens, I focused on growing without using chemical fertilizers, which were becoming very popular at the time. I didn't like the idea of using chemicals, so I experimented with natural sources such as poultry manure, and had great success (even better than my grandmother with her miracle fertilizers).

For the last 40 plus years, I've been blessed to live my dream with the loving support of my family ~ farming and learning and sharing the fruit of my labor. Now I'm working to share what I've learned (and continue to learn!) with you. Whether you are just starting out or are farther down their path in gardening, I'd be honored to join you on that exciting journey!

Jeff has over 35 years of experience as a manager and/or founding member in both privately and publicly managed farmers markets. If you are considering creating a farmers market, Jeff would be happy to discuss it with you.

Consulting for Farmers, Groups & Organizations
